New noren curtains added

Hello and Welcome to www.nipponcraft.com,

We have added new type of noren curtains. These noren curtains come from a producer in Asakusa, Tokyo producing authentic noren curtains of many designs. Ishizuka-san, the chief producer, sticks to good dyeing noren curtains. He also runs his own noren curtain shop called Bengara in Asakusa, where we have many visitors from all over the world.

The noren curtains depicted below are wide width of 170cm (70 inches).  A wide noren curtain could be used as an interior decoration over a kitchen sink viewing to a living room.

This one below is also wide width of 120cm (47.2 inches). The printed design is a Japanese hiragana letter meaning hot spa. This noren curtain is originally meant to be a doorway hanging in front of a public bathhouse, but it could be used for your purpose.

The designs below are ordinary off-the-shelf 85cm (33.5 inches) width. Please take a look if they interest you.

Large cotton furoshiki

I would like to introduce newly added cotton furoshiki of large size. All of them listed here are over 100cm (40 inches) each side. Each design on furoshiki is unique, and they are hand-printed in Kyoto, Japan. Our prices are set to the same as these sold in Japan.
Large cotton furoshiki can be substitute of gift wrapping, shopping bags, plastic bags, and they are attractive tools for carrying goods. Cotton furoshiki are relatively tough and machine washable, thus reusable. Furoshiki is an Eco-friendly item of 3R (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle) lifestyle. We wish you will have a try using furoshiki in wetsern living.

New noren curtain added

Hello and Welcome to www.nipponcraft.com,

This newly added noren curtain is hand-painted by an artisan in Kyoto. This is dyed by Roketsu-zome (batik). The size is 150cm (59.0 inches) of height and 85cm (33.5 inches) of width.
The design of this noren curtain is two sparrows sitting on a bamboo branch. We hope you will like the design.
