We have added three unique noren curtains. They are made of 100% ramie and are dyed with persimmon tannin.
A family named Yasui-san are manufacturing these noren. The family live in the mountain area up north of Kyoto city and love to live with the nature. Their motto is to manufacture all products by using local materials. The only use persimmons that grow in the area for dyeing and only use water of nearby river for washing away dyes. The noren designs are all "rural taste" - the designs recall the image of old farmers' houses. These designs may not be so vivid but they are calm and gentle imaging static nature.
I visited Yasui-san on site and picked up three designs for our web shop. We recommend these noren for their uniqueness and high quality.
